The mission of Palmetto Charter School is to create a superior learning environment founded upon the shared values of hard work, honor, self-discipline, and community and parental involvement, with the purpose of preparing students for academic and social success, in high school and beyond.
Students can bring $1 (or more!) and wear pink jeans, pink shorts, pink shirts and even Pink Out their hair! But please be sure that hair coloring is done before school and spray is not brought on campus.
At our September 27th meeting, our PCS Board decided that we would follow the Manatee County School District’s schedule for hurricane makeup days/time, with one exception. First of all, we will be using two of the previously established hurricane makeup days, which are the Monday and Tuesday of Thanksgiving week.
Second, we will be adding an extra ten minutes to the beginning of the school day, starting on Monday. The regular district schools will be adding the ten minutes to the end of the school day, but that would complicate the schedule of our after-school activities.
Therefore, beginning Monday, the middle school tardy bell will be at 8:05 and the elementary tardy bell will be at 8:20. The afternoon pickup times will remain the same. This schedule will be in place until the end of the semester, December 20th.
